One gas, one electric. How to turn each one on and off.

Little Bear has two indoor fireplaces, and neither one burns wood.

Great room: electric fireplace

The stone fireplace in the great room has an electric insert. It gives off heat and a flame effect, and it’s safe to leave on while you’re in the room.

To fill in: how it’s controlled (remote, wall switch, buttons on the unit), where the remote lives, and whether the heat and flame can be run separately.

Rec room: gas fireplace

The downstairs rec room has a gas fireplace under the TV.

To fill in: exact steps to light it (wall switch? remote? key valve?), how to turn it off, and any warning like “the glass gets very hot.”
