Where the thermostats are and how to set them.

The house has central heat and air conditioning.

To fill in: how many thermostats there are, where each one is, what each one controls (upstairs vs. downstairs), a comfortable default setting, and anything to know about the baseboard heaters in the sunroom.

A few tips

• Mountain nights are cooler than you’d expect, even in summer. Extra blankets are in each bedroom closet.
• Please don’t set the heat below 55°F in winter, even when you’re out for the day, so the pipes stay happy.
• The great room’s big windows warm the room quickly on sunny days. Opening the sliders to the deck helps more than cranking the AC.
